VIVA - New Active Tourism Itineraries in Villanova

The territory of Villanova is in line with the traditional customs of the island and hunting is a highly participatory activity. As well as in the other Italian regions, also here forest rangers and ecologists participate in drafting the rules of hunting regulations so that the number of animals to be killed and the methods allowed ensure the protection of wildlife. Padria is characterised by boar hunting, which is included among the activities of the village as a real tradition.

In 2015 the Pro Loco Association of Villanova Monteleone created the first edition of the Fiera Caccia Sardegna (Sardinian Hunting Fair), in order to try to integrate the activities related to the fauna, hunting and outdoor sports, in collaboration with local associations of hunters and sponsored by the City of Villanova Monteleone.
